Cover Supervisor, St Albans, £80 - £150 p/day, ASAP Start, Ofsted 'Outstanding School', Secondary aged pupils
Responsibilities:
- Manage classes in the absence of school teachers, ensuring a conducive learning environment for all pupils
- Delivery pre-prepared lessons and activities following the teacher's guidelines
- Manage behaviour and enforce school policies regarding behaviour and discipline
- Provide assistance and guidance to students as necessary to support their learning progress
- Monitor and report on student engagement
- Collaborate with teaching staff and support colleagues to maintain continuity in the absence of the regular teacher
Requirements:
- Previous experience within a school environment, tutoring or youth work is preferred but not essential
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with students and staff
- The ability to demonstrate classroom management and the ability to foster a positive learning atmosphere
- Adaptability and flexibility to work across different subjects and age groups
- Available and dedicated to a long term placement at a well run and supportive school
