Tradewind are recruiting! Are you a cover teacher or cover supervisor who is looking for regular, flexible work?


Tradewind are currently working in partnership with an excellent school in Gainsborough, who are in need of a regular supply teacher/cover supervisor to start as soon as possible, on a flexible, ongoing basis. The school in question are looking for a strong practitioner who can become a regular with the school, and become a welcomed part of the academy. No planning and marking is expected for this position, you will simply be delivering pre-planned work from excellent staff members. You will be covering for a range of different needs, including: staff absence due to illness, planned absences, operation covers, school trips, meetings. Payment for this position will be dependent on experience and qualifications, but for a days work candidates can expect to earn between £70 and £140.00 per day, depending on experience and qualifications. You will be responsible for teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 classes, but will be working in a range of different classroom settings and subject areas. For that reason, we are looking for a truly flexible practitioner who is confident enough to go into a number of different subjects (be it Maths, Modern Foreign Languages, English), and is flexible enough to work without a fixed schedule. Usually, the school needs cover each day, meaning there is an opportunity for a practitioner who enjoys the school to have consistent work. You will not be expected to cover/teach PE unless that is a subject specialism of yours, or a particular interest/something you have experience teaching/delivering.


The School in question is a large Academy with good transport links and a strong sense of community spirit. Being in Gainsborough, it is easily accessible via public transport, but dependent on the area may be more accessible via public transport. For those drives, it has a large onsite car park, which provides ample. The school hours are 8:30 - 3:15PM, with the school having four one and a half hour lessons per day.
