Tradewind Recruitment are looking to appoint an ambitious teacher of Design Technology to join a lovely department for a role to start in January 2020?
This is an 'outstanding' catholic secondary school for boys with a co-educational sixth form. Pupils behave impeccably in lessons and throughout the school making this a fantastic opportunity to teach Art to both Key Stage 3 & 4. The school insist on highest standards of behaviour and expect students to have a good attitude to learning and respect for one another and the environment. They achieve this by providing a traditional, yet broad and balanced curriculum for all students.

In this school staff at all levels go the 'extra mile' to make sure pupils achieve, feel cared for and thrive within a supportive and productive learning environment. As a result, pupils enjoy coming to school and attendance for all groups of pupils is high. You will be joining a happy, caring and successful learning environment for all students where their true potential can be realised.

The school are looking for a Technology teacher who can teach both Key Stage 3 & 4. The school encourage students to explore visual, tactile and other sensory experiences to communicate ideas and meanings. They work with traditional and new media, developing confidence, competence, imagination and creativity. Pupils learn to appreciate and value images and artefacts across times and cultures. Students reflect critically on their own and other people's work, judging quality, value and meaning. Learning to think and act as artists, craftspeople and designers, students work creatively and intelligently.

They have an enrichment program is extensive and pupils visit galleries and museums as well as attend workshops. In addition, we have visiting artists and designers, this keeps courses lively and interesting. Each year students add to their skills and understanding of Art and Design Technology. They are encouraged to develop independence allowing them more freedom and creativity within their work.
