The role would be on a full-time basis covering maternity for the remainder of the academic year at least. Following a successful assignment and depending on the school's requirements, the role could be extended or made permanent. They can consider specialists across most disciplines; however, some Food Technology is likely to feature on the timetable.

The school is graded as 'Good' with 'Outstanding' elements in their most recent Ofsted. The school is participatory praised for its Leadership, Outcomes and Sixth Form. Students enjoy the school and behave well, being courteous and polite throughout the grounds. Attainment levels are good, the proportion of students gaining high grades in five or more subjects is above the national average.

The successful Technology teacher will be:
Someone who has a genuine passion for their subject and can inspire their pupils.
A creative DT teacher, who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout their role.
Someone who is up to date on the Technology Curriculum and can confidently teach up to KS4.
Able to make effective assessments to plan for the next step in the pupils' development.
A reliable professional and an excellent communicator who can build relationships with all pupils.

The school is located in a beautiful area in Essex. There is plenty of onsite parking available as well as a nearby train station, making it an easy commute from the majority of Essex and Liverpool Street.
