Are you looking for a long term Design Technology placement, from September 2020?

Tradewind recruitment are working with an excellent partnership school in Hull, who are in need of a qualified and experienced Design Technology teacher to work for at least the first term (until Christmas). You will be performing all of the responsibilities and duties of a permanent staff member, and for this reason will be paid to scale (up to M6) for this position. This position is full time, but there may be room for negotiation down to a 0.8 timetable if desired. This is a temporary contract.

You will be working within a high functioning Design Technology department, with an excellent Head of Department, who all aim to provide the best possible education to their students. A comprehensive set of lesson plans are available for the successful candidate, that would just need to be amended to suit the needs of individual classes. For this reason, planning for this position will be minimal. The department are looking for a teacher who specialises in Resistant Materials, but who is open to teaching other Technology disciplines to Key Stage 3 students.

The school itself is a school in the heart of it's community, and prides itself in it's inclusivity and belief that every child matters. The school caters for students between 11-16 years old, so experience teaching to A level is not essential for this position. The school is looking for a candidate who shares their ethos.

The role:
*Teaching Resistant Materials to Key Stage 4 students
*Teaching Food Technology to Key Stage 3 students
*Planning and marking in line with the national curriculum


Essential requirements:
Experience working with students aged between 11-18
*QTS
*All work with Tradewind is subject to an enhanced DBS check and at least 2 suitable references being obtained.
*All work with Tradewind is subject to submittal of a CV with a 10 year career history
