Tradewind Recruitment have been asked by a successful school in the South Cambridgeshire District to assist them with the appointment of an enthusiastic and dynamic teacher of Design Technology as soon as possible. The role is to provide long term sickness cover and will be up until February at least, the school has indicated that the requirement may well be extended following a successful assignment.

The successful Teacher of Design Technology will be expected to teach KS3 and KS4 students, the school are able to consider specialists in any Technology discipline. The school is currently graded as 'Outstanding' by Ofsted and even with bubbles and restrictions due to Covid-19, staff and students have full access to their fantastic DT resources and equipment.

Leadership within the school is particularly praised for offering a curriculum that provides pupils' with academic and personal development exceptionally well. Due to highly effective teaching and a well-planned curriculum, pupils make strong progress across a range of subjects. This capitalises on students' positives attitudes to learning and as a result, enjoy their education and take pride in producing high quality work.

The successful Technology Teacher will be:
A DT Teacher who has a genuine passion for their subject and a consistent track record of achieving great results.
A creative Technology teacher, who will want to attain and maintain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout their role.
Up to date on the DT Curriculum and can confidently teach up to KS4.
Able to make effective assessments to plan for the next step in the pupils' development.
A reliable professional and an excellent communicator who can build relationships with all pupils and staff across the school.

Situated in the northern part of the district, this charming school is best accessed by car with plenty of onsite parking available for staff. Due to the urgent nature of the role, it is preferable that you will hold an existing enhanced DBS certificate which is on the Online Update Service.
