Tradewind are looking to recruit a qualified Teacher of Drama to provide maternity cover within its team of specialists. Candidates should have good experience of GCSE and A Level teaching. Tradewind are looking for a qualified Drama teacher, holding QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree to start a permanent post at a truly outstanding academy. They are always on the lookout for inspirational and influential staff. They look for staff who have a real passion and enjoy teaching. You must be highly skilled in the role you are applying for or else willing and able to learn in post. You must show a passion for education and improving the life chances of London children. You should be highly motivated, like working as part of a team and possess excellent communication skills.

It is the aim of the drama department to deliver an education of benefit to every student, through lessons, extra-curricular clubs and varying industry related opportunities. All students are encouraged and enabled to reach their potential within the subject. All are expected to acquire a range of skills, both practical and theoretical, and a breadth of knowledge and understanding of the subject. Students are further encouraged to develop a mature approach to study and a sense of responsibility for their own learning.
The department consists of three specialist drama teachers who work closely as a team, within the performing arts faculty. The state of the art faculty, boasting two studios, a dance studio and a theatre, is well provided with teaching resources. A wide range of teaching and learning strategies are used in the delivery of drama and a range of extra- curricular activities are offered.

The school is located close to Stratford in the London Borough of Newham.
