Tradewind Recruitment, a leading education recruitment agency, is currently seeking an experienced Nursery Nurse/Early Years Teaching Assistant for a one-to-one role. This position involves supporting a non-verbal child who requires personal care. The role is based in a mainstream primary school located just outside of Liverpool City Centre.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated support to a non-verbal child within the Early Years setting.
- Assist the child with personal care needs, including feeding, toileting, and hygiene routines.
- Collaborate closely with the class teacher and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive learning environment.
- Foster a nurturing and stimulating atmosphere that encourages the child's overall development.
- Implement individualised education and care plans, tailored to meet the specific needs of the child.
Requirements:
- Hold relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3 in Childcare or equivalent.
- Possess previous experience working as a Nursery Nurse or Early Years Teaching Assistant.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of child development and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to suit individual needs.
- Have a patient and compassionate nature, particularly when working with children with additional needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
- An understanding of personal care routines and the ability to provide assistance accordingly.
- Comply with all safeguarding and health and safety regulations.
Working Hours: The working hours for this position are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Location: The role is based in a mainstream primary school just outside of Liverpool City Centre.
