Tradewind Recruitment is working with a large and successful Primary School in Harrow to recruit an Early Year Teacher to join their team. This position will be a full time role commencing September 2020 and last for the full academic year.

Pupils come from a range of backgrounds and parents are very supportive.



The school is seeking an Early Years Teacher who possesses:

Recent experience of teaching in EYFS
A sound knowledge and understanding of the curriculum in the Early Years Foundation Stage
Effective strategies to include and meet the needs of all pupils
A very good knowledge of teaching phonics
The ability to monitor, assess, record and report pupil progress, in line with school policy, and use this to inform future planning. The school uses the "Tapestry" system to track progress and to plan for future learning and you will ideally be familiar with this system.
A flexible approach to work, with good team skills, excellent spoken and written English and the ability to work as part of a close-knit team.


The core duties of this EYFS Reception Teacher role are:

Take responsibility for teaching a class of Reception children, aged 4-5 years
Manage pupil progress socially and academically whilst tracking the progress of individual pupils within the class, using individual learning journals
Produce comprehensive weekly plans for the seven areas of learning
Manage and lead a small team of experienced support staff.

The school is located in Pinner, Harrow. The school are served by excellent public transport links and parking is available for all staff.

To join us and be successful in this Early Years Teacher role you will need to:

Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification
This position is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure, overseas police clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
You must have the legal right to work in the UK
