We're seeking a full time Early Years class teacher to start in September 2020 until July 2021 for the full academic year covering a maternity leave.

This forward thinking two form entry primary school has worked with the pupils, parents, carers, staff and governors in partnership to create stimulating, safe and nurturing learning environment. They provide the children with the best possible start in their learning journey to ensure they have the skills, knowledge and ambition to prepare them for secondary school and life beyond.

This school has 440 pupils and has a nursery within school which caters for an addition 52 children starting from the age of 3. It has strong links with the local church which contributes to the Christian ethos of the school.

The school has excellent motorway links and local bus routes stop outside the school entrance.

We are looking for:
-An Early Years primary teacher who will take on the responsibility of a class of up to 28 mixed ability pupils, you will have a supportive and experienced Teaching Assistant in class. You shall be required to plan, deliver and assess work in line with the National Curriculum and be happy to partake in Parents Evenings, sports days and school trips.
-A hard-working and highly motivated person with the capacity to contribute to the on-going development of the primary curriculum.
-An Early Years teacher Primary Teacher with phonics experience that is driven and determined to achieve goals set out for them
-A collaborative team player that works hard for their colleagues and students in their care

After visiting the school, I was impressed with the strong family atmosphere and warm welcome of the staff and children. The school supports personal development through their CPD, has a supportive and strong SLT and works in partnership with their sister school within the trust.

Essential requirements:
The ideal candidate for this role will have had a minimum of 2 years' experience working as an EYFS teacher and have excellent classroom-based references. Evidence of raising attainment of EYFS pupils is highly sought after for this role as there are pupils who are working below national age expectations and require intense boosters. The school are looking to appoint an experienced Early Years teacher who has experience of SEN and EAL.
