As a SEND Teaching Assistant, your crucial role involves providing essential support to children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, assisting them in realising their full potential. Your responsibilities encompass fostering the development of vital life skills and supporting their academic progress. The client schools cater to children aged 3-19 years.
- Provide support on a 1:1 or small group basis.
- Assist in the implementation of EHCPs (Educational Health Care Plans).
- Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals for optimal support.
- Contribute to classroom and behaviour management.
- A degree in education or a related field (If uncertain about suitability, please reach out).
- Some prior experience working with children is advantageous.
- Possession of an Enhanced Child or Child and Adult DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
- A comprehensive employment or educational history with all gaps explained.
