Tradewind are currently recruiting for an English and Film studies teacher to work on a long term basis in a 'good' secondary school in the East Riding of Yorkshire. You will be covering a maternity cover, starting on the 20th April (just after Easter) and lasting initially until the end of the academic year. As this is a maternity cover, this is subject to change, meaning that it could start earlier, or finish later and go into the new academic year. You will be teaching both English and Film studies to Key Stage 4 and 5 students, so ideally we are looking for a practitioner who has experience working with A Level students, and who has taught both subjects to A Level students. Of course, with this being two specialist roles, we would welcome applications from practitioners who specialise in teaching only one of these subjects to A Level students. All planning and marking associated with a teaching role will be required for this position, and for that reason the successful candidate can expect to be paid to scale for this position. In real terms, this means the successful candidate can expect to earn between £110.00 and £184.00 per day for this position. This position is full time, but applicants who are available 3/4 days per week are advised to apply for this position if interested, as there may be potential to organise a job share for this position.


The School in question is a medium sized local authority school, situated a short drive from Hull, easily accessible from Hull and other areas of the East Riding. It is most easily accessible via car, and has a large onsite car park for teachers who do drive. There is public transport from the centre of Hull for candidates who rely on public transport. The school has a 'good' OFSTED rating from a recent inspection, and is a thoroughly enjoyable place to work for all supply staff. You will be treated as a permanent member of staff for your time at the school, entitled to the same treatment as permanent members of staff.

*Delivering Key Stage 4 and 5 Film Studies
*Planning and marking in line with the national curriculum
*Attending necessary meetings and CPD sessions.
