Tradewind Recruitment are working with an Ofsted rated Good Secondary School in Hillingdon who are seeking a recent English Graduate and aspiring teacher to join their supportive, fast paced English Department as and English Assistant. This is a full-time role that will be offered on a long-term basis until the end of the academic year, with a view to becoming permanent.

As an English Assistant, you will be led by class teachers and the Head of Department within the English Department where you will learn how to support, encourage and facilitate effective student learning, with a view of leading your own classes once confident. You will learn how to support students with varying special education and individual learning needs, adapting and modifying lessons to adapt to their needs accordingly.

To be successful in this English Assistant role, you will be a recent or soon to be English Graduate (2:1 minimum) who aspires to become an English Teacher. You will be a confident, articulate and hard-working individual who is able to work successfully as part of a large team and individually. Prior experience working or volunteering with young people is advantageous, but not essential.
