An outstanding special needs school for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties in Barking and Dagenham, initially with 35 pupils, but growing to a maximum of 60 pupils aged 3-16, are currently looking for a new English teacher. The Teacher will teach across Key Stage 2.

The Teacher would:
*Work with pupils who have social and mental health complex learning difficulties
*Helping all students enjoy their learning and get as much out of life as they can
*Identify challenges and ensure that the pupils learn
*Support pupils with communication skills
*Help pupils develop their communication and life skills

This is an exciting opportunity for a Mainstream Teacher who wants to make a transition into a new and expanding school as a Special Needs Teacher who will receive training throughout. The school have a very low staff turnover and provide the staff with continued professional development to ensure that they are very well supported within the school. The provision is equipped with a sensory room, soft play area and a large playground.

The Teacher we require should have:
*Experience working within a Primary and/or Secondary setting
*Experience in using a range of behaviour techniques within a classroom
*Must be Caring, Adaptable and highly intuitive


Classroom Details:
*6 Pupils with 3 Support staff and 1 HLTA in the classroom
*KS2 pupils (Upper Primary)

*Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification
*This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
*Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
*You must have the legal right to work in the UK
