An oversubscribed 11 to 18 secondary school located in a beautiful part of North West Essex are currently recruiting for a teacher to join their English department. This is a full time role to provide ongoing cover and will last until the end of the academic year at least, this could be extended following a successful assignment. The school is located in the centre of the Braintree district and is easily accessible from Essex, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire. You could travel by both public transport and car with on-site parking available for staff, students and visitors.

The school is very well-run and well-organised and English is a popular subject up to A Level. The team of teaching and support staff are hard-working and supportive with high standards. They are able to offer a broad curriculum enabling them to offer students lots of fantastic opportunities which will help better prepare them for their future career paths - whatever they may be. The school also has a huge focus on personalised learning and they always strive to provide additional support to students whenever needed. This is a caring school which believes in encouraging and challenging students to reach their full potential and exceed their expectations.

The successful English teacher will be:
Able to confidently teach pupils up to GCSE at least and have a proven track record of progression.
Will be familiar with the English national curriculum.
Familiar and confident with contemporary resources and equipment.
A committed practitioner, who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout their role.
A collaborative and driven individual who will support and lead on the delivery of their lessons through creative approaches to the curriculum.
If you have some knowledge of Media Studies this would be advantageous but not essential.

To be successful in this English teaching role you will:
Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualifications.
Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearance (if applicable and professional reference checks.
Provide a CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, where possible, and any employment breaks must be explained.
Have the legal right to work in the UK.
