Tradewind Recruitment have been asked by an 11 to 18 secondary school situated just North of Cambridge to assist them in finding a qualified English Teacher to join their hard-working team of staff. The successful teacher will be expected to teach the KS3 and KS4 English curriculum at least, with the opportunity to teach up to KS5 for the right candidate. This is an urgent requirement with the school looking to secure the right person for this ongoing role, ideally, they would like someone to start no later than January. Following a successful assignment, the position may be extended or become permanent. The school can consider experienced English teachers as well as those who are newly qualified with inductions periods fully supported.
This Ofsted rated 'Good' school has consistently progressed in recent years. Leaders are supportive and quickly identify areas of improvement, offering constructive guidance to continue to meet their high expectations. Pupils behave well and demonstrate a positive attitude towards learning. Activities are always interesting, and teachers use a variety of effective techniques to help students develop their understanding.
The successful English Teacher will be:
Familiar and confident with the planning and delivery of lessons in line with the National Curriculum
A committed and reliable teacher dedicated to the role
Consistently motivated to deliver engaging lessons
An excellent communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills
A positive and personable role model for their class

Need to hold QTS or a recognised equivalent teaching qualification
Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
Cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
