Exciting news! Tradewind is delighted to collaborate with a thriving secondary school in Cirencester committed to cultivating a supportive and engaging learning environment, empowering students to realise their full potential.
We are currently seeking a devoted English Teacher to join this renowned school, known for its dedication to providing an enriching educational experience. The school's mission is to create a love for the subject, encouraging students to appreciate the beauty of the written and spoken word. The goal is to inspire them to listen, understand, and appreciate voices from the world around us, ultimately fostering the development of their own unique voice.
The position commences in January 2024 and runs until Easter initially on a full-time basis, with the potential to extend until the end of the academic year. Pay rates range from £130 to £200 per day for general cover, with higher rates for full duties in long-term positions.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging and effective English lessons up to GCSE level, fostering a deep appreciation for the English language and its literary treasures.
- Support the academic and personal development of our students.
- Provide regular assessment and feedback to students, tracking their progress and offering guidance for improvement.
- Encourage a love for literature, language, and creative expression within the student body.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Have an Enhanced DBS Disclosure and provide necessary documents for new DBS checks, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional reference checks.
- A CV reflecting the last 10 years of your employment history where possible.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
