Tradewind are currently recruiting for an outstanding English teacher to work with one of our partnership schools in Hull, an OFSTED rated 'good' school. You will be responsible for teaching English to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. As you will be teaching English to Key Stage 4, we are looking for a true English specialist, who has experience teaching English to GCSE level (ideally the AQA specification). All planning and marking associated with a teaching role will be expected for this position, and for that reason the successful candidate can expect to be paid in accordance with the main pay scale. In real terms, this means the successful practitioner can expect to earn between £110.00 and £184.00 per day, depending on experience and qualifications. The successful candidate will be covering an extended period of absence, so we are looking for a practitioner to start as soon as possible. With these being a period of absence, it is impossible to truly estimate how long the cover will be needed for, but the school has confirmed that the need will be until Easter, with the probability of this being extended in the future. You will be teaching full time, but there is potential for this to change and be extended in the future.


This is a wonderful school, situated in Hull. It is most easily accessed via car, having a large onsite car park which provides ample parking spaces. It is possible to access via public transport, and is on a regular bus route from Hull city centre. Your typical working hours will be 9:00 to 3:15. As you are paid to scale for this position, you will be expected to attend parents evenings.
