Tradewind are currently recruiting for an excellent English Teacher for a long term placement In Hull.

Tradewind are working with an excellent partnership school in Hull, who require a full time English teacher to cover a planned period of absence, due to maternity. This vacancy is due to start September 2020 (unless there is any news regarding schools opening), and will last until at least Christmas 2020, which may be extended in the future. You will be treated like a permanent member of the department, and will be expected to perform all duties of a teacher (including planning and marking). For this reason, you will be paid to scale (maximum of MPS6) for this position.

You will be working with an excellent and supportive department, with a passionate head of department. We are looking for a strong, passionate practitioner that has experience teaching English to Key Stage 4 students. The ability to teach film studies/media studies would be an advantage (as there may be room on the timetable for this), but it is in no way essential. Due to the strong head of department and systems in place, this position is suitable for Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs), so please do not hesitate to apply if this is your first teaching position. Experience working with SEN/SEMH students is an advantage.

The school itself is a wonderful school in the very heart of it's community. Believing wholeheartedly in ensuring every child has access to the highest quality of education, they are striving for excellence and enjoy an ever-growing reputation. They are looking for a practitioner who shares their ethos, and is committed to working hard, and assisting after the disruption caused by the current Covid crisis.
The role:

*Teaching English To Key Stage 3 students
*Teaching English Language and Literature to Key Stage 4 students
*Teaching Media/Film Studies (optional)
