Tradewind recruitment are working with an excellent partnership school in Hull, who are in need of a qualified and experienced English teacher to work ASAP, until at least May half term. Planning and marking will not be expected for this position, so payment will be between £110.00 and £130.00, depending on experience and qualifications. You will be working a 0.4 (2 day per week) contract, working on a Monday and Thursday, with the potential for more days if desired..

You will be working within a high functioning English department, with an excellent Head of Department, who all aim to provide the best possible education to their students. A comprehensive set of lesson plans are available for the successful candidate, that would just need to be amended to suit the needs of individual classes. For this reason, planning for this position will be minimal. The department are looking for a teacher who specialises in teaching English, and can deliver this subject to Key Stage 4 students. Experience teaching in an intervention role/performing small group intervention would be ideal, as a large part of this booking will involve working with small groups, catching students up with their lost learning time.

The school belongs to an exceptional academy trust group, that places student welfare and personal development at the forefront of everything that they do. The school is a large school, that caters for students aged 11-18. There is a large onsite car park which is free for all staff members to use, and the school is easily accessible via public transport.

The role:

• Teaching English to Key Stage 3 and 4 students
• Planning and marking in line with the national curriculum
• Working with small groups delivering English intervention

Experience working with students aged between 11-18

• QTS
