Tradewind are recruiting! Are you an English Teacher looking for a long term role in Lincoln?


Tradewind are currently working with a partnership school in Lincoln who are looking for a fully qualified teacher of English to teach English Language and Literature on a 3 day per week basis. There is potential for this to be increased to five days per week, with two days of general cover. However, this can remain at 3 days if you are looking for part time. You will mainly be teaching English to Key Stage 3 students, but there is some Year 10 teaching on the timetable. You will be covering a vacant position, so there is opportunity for a permanent position at the end of the placement, if the successful candidate enjoys their time there and is successful. All planning and marking associated with a teaching role will be expected for this position, meaning the successful candidate will be paid to scale. In real terms this means the successful candidate can expect to earn between £120.00 and £184.00 per day for this position. You will be covering a vacant position, starting in January 2020, and lasting until at least Easter 2020. As mentioned previously, with this being a vacant position there is potential for this to extend until the end of the academic year, or to become a permanent position for the right candidate. You will be supported by a highly experienced head of department, and the department is filled with experienced and skills practitioners. For this reason, we would be happy to accept applications from NQTs who are looking for their first position.


The School in question is a large school with excellent student behaviour, that caters to students aged 11-18. While the school caters for A level students, there will be no A Level teaching on the timetable. For an highly experienced teacher of A level English Language, there may be potential for this to be added to the timetable, in place of a Key Stage 3 class. The school is ever improving and is an excellent place to work. There is already established schemes of work and lessons in place, meaning that the planning is minimal for this position.
