Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Teacher of English, to join a large secondary academy, to start ASAP. This is a full time, long term role, with the potential of a permanent contract, paying up to £170 a day.

*Hold QTS Status or QTLS
*Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks

We are recruiting on behalf of a large and wholly inclusive academy, which caters for students from 11 -16 years old. The school has recently become part of a wider academy trust, working with three secondary schools in the local area. They pride themselves on an induction programme leading to excellent professional development opportunities and are fully committed to the progress of their staff, as well as their students.
This secondary academy is looking for a Teacher of English that can deliver lessons across all Key Stages and has excellent subject knowledge, as well as a great personality for building rapport with staff and students alike. You must be a committed practitioner, a confident behaviour manager and have the highest expectations of all young people. You will need to be a collaborative and driven individual who will support and lead on the delivery of the subject through inventive approaches including curriculum design and the use of ICT.
The role itself will involve the delivery of English lessons to students in KS3 and KS4, where the department has enjoyed improving GCSE results year on year. Ideal candidates will have strong curriculum knowledge and will ensure that the lessons they deliver are of excellent quality using innovative and engaging approaches, ensuring that the students are having fun whilst making progress!
The school is based in Tameside, near the border to Oldham, and has excellent public transport links and ample parking available.
