Tradewind are currently recruiting for an English Teacher, who is available for a September 2020 start. This is a long term vacancy, situated at a wonderful school on the outskirts of York. This vacancy is initially due to last until January 2021, however there is a strong likelihood that this will be extended until Easter 2021. This is a full time position, and payment will be scaled to the MPS.

Due to the schools location, it is most easily accessed via car, and it has a large onsite car park with ample parking spaces for cars. You will be teaching in an environment that fosters and nurtures: development, curiosity and above all the love of education. This is a unique opportunity to teach at a school that will give you the opportunity to explore your love of English, and encourage this in your students.

Ideally, we are looking for a candidate who has experience teaching the following:
*GCSE English Language
*GCSE English Literature
*A Level English Language
*A Level English Literature

In this full time English Teaching position, you will mainly be teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 English, however there is some room on the timetable for Key Stage 5 English teaching. For this reason, we are looking for a true English Specialist who has experience working with exam classes. You may have some intervention teaching on your timetable, working with small groups helping to catch students up with their missed learning.
