Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for an enthusiastic and innovative English Teacher, with a passion for special needs to join a great special school based in Birmingham, starting after October half term (November 2020). This role is to cover a maternity leave for the duration of the academic year. The role is suitable for an NQT, or experienced teacher, paying up to £180 a day.
The role itself will involve the delivery of English lessons, to students in KS3 and KS4 who have autism. So you will need to be confident teaching the subject up to GCSE level in addition to tailoring work to suit individual needs. Class sizes will be of 8 pupils with 3 additional members of support. As part of the role, you will be expected to plan lessons and mark completed work. Ideal candidates will have strong curriculum knowledge in addition to SEND frameworks and P-Levels, you will need ensure that the lessons are delivered are of excellent quality using innovative and engaging approaches, ensuring that the students are having fun whilst making progress!
To join us and be successful in this English Teacher role, you will need to:
*Hold QTS Status or QTLS
*SEND Teaching experience
*This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
*Provide a CV that must have 10 years employment history included and any employment breaks must be explained
*Have the legal right to work in the UK
