We are an established education recruitment agency based in Bristol and we work with many inner-city schools and Pupil referral units and Youth offending units in Bristol and South Glos. We recruit teachers, teaching assistants and sports coaches to work in our client schools.

Due to an increase in the demand for support staff with experience of managing challenging behaviour, we are now recruiting ex police officers to work as teaching assistants in our EBD (Emotional behavioural difficulty schools). The work is always in the capacity of a teaching assistant and will require you to support these vulnerable young people with their academic work, offer them help and guidance, and manage challenging behaviour as it arises.

Hours: 0830-1530
Monday to Friday (However, you can work flexibly around your other commitments.
Rate of pay: £70-£80 per day

Please note that we will have to offer you supply work to start with depending on your experience and personality and this might involve you working in a variety of schools in the first term and move onto a regular placement after a term or so. However, you will be able to pick and choose when and where you would like to work.

In return you will gain lots of experience very quickly and will be potentially placed in a school long-term dependent on your skills and performance.

Essential requirements:

DBS check: (We will be able to get you one through us)
Experience of working with young people or vulnerable adults with challenging behaviour
