The School: Join a dynamic and forward-thinking secondary school in the heart of Manchester! We are seeking an experienced Exams Officer to play a pivotal role in our school's continued success. The Role: As the Exams Officer at this good secondary school, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the examination process. This is a vital role, ensuring that examinations run smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with examination board regulations. You will liaise with teaching staff, students, and external examination bodies to ensure a successful exam season.
Key Responsibilities:
Exam Timetabling: Plan and organise exam timetables, taking into account the needs of students and the requirements of examination boards.
Administration: Manage the administration of exams, including registration, entries, and the distribution of exam materials.
Examination Day Coordination: Oversee the smooth running of examinations, ensuring all students are aware of the procedures and that any special accommodations are in place.
Results: Collaborate with staff to ensure accurate recording and distribution of exam results.
Compliance: Stay up-to-date with examination board regulations and ensure all exams are conducted in accordance with their guidelines.
Communication: Act as the main point of contact for exam-related queries from both students and teaching staff.
Requirements:
Previous experience as an Exams Officer or in a similar administrative role in an educational setting.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Knowledge of examination board regulations (e.g., AQA, Edexcel, OCR) is desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
