Job Title: Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant

Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Full time, Monday to Friday 8.30am-3.30pm

Are you passionate about nurturing the development of young minds? Do you have a genuine interest in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) education? If so, Tradewind Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for you to join a dynamic team as an EYFS Teaching Assistant at a primary school in North Sheffield.

Key Responsibilities:

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the overall development and well-being of the youngest learners. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Assisting the EYFS teacher in planning and delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons.
  2. Providing one-on-one support to students who may require additional assistance.
  3. Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic development.
  4. Collaborating with the EYFS team to assess and monitor student progress.
  5. Supporting the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  6. Building positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive learning community.

Qualifications and Skills:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  1. Teaching Assistant qualification desirable.
  2. Previous experience working in an EYFS setting.
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Patience and a nurturing approach to working with young children.
  5. Knowledge of EYFS curriculum and developmentally appropriate teaching practices.
