Tradewind Recruitment are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to support the children within the EYFS of a Halewood-based Primary School, from April 2021.

Working under the instruction of teaching staff, the successful applicant will support access to learning for pupils, whilst assisting the teachers in the management of pupils and the classroom across the Early Years Foundation Stage. Other responsibilities will include:

• Attending to pupils' personal needs, and implementing related personal programmes; including social, health, physical, hygiene, first aid, and welfare matters.;
• Supervising and supporting pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning;
• Undertaking structured and agreed learning activities / teaching programmes, adjusting activities according to pupil responses;
• Establishing constructive relationships with pupils and parents / carers and interacting with them according to individual needs.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have high expectations and be committed to raising standards for children;
• Be a team player, with a good sense of humour, and the flexibility to take on the diverse roles needed within a small school setting;
• Be able to support the Christian ethos of the school.
