Tradewind are working with a good school in Hull, and are looking to recruit a Female PE teacher from the start of the academic year. The school have isolated a need in the PE department, for a regular cover teacher to come in at least twice a week, and cover PE lessons for a truly outstanding department. The school in question will have a number of teachers out on courses at the beginning of the year, and they anticipate that this need for a flexible teacher, two days per week, will probably last until at least the October half term of 2020. However, as this is a part time position, the school would be interested to use the successful candidate as the first port of call for all other supply needs, so this could lead to work five days per week, if the successful candidate so desires.

This position is part time and it is flexible, meaning this would suit a candidate who is looking for a better work/life balance, or an existing supply teacher looking for consistent work. The PE department is a department that is extremely organised, and the subject leader has a wealth of resources to share, meaning planning and marking will not be necessary for this role. You will mainly be covering practical PE sessions, but on occasion may be asked to cover classroom based PE lessons as well. For this reason, we are looking for a practitioner with very good subject knowledge who can really engage students in theory lessons..

Successful candidates can expect to earn between £110.00 and £130.00 per day for this position, depending on qualifications and experience. If you are asked to plan or mark for this position, then your payment will be changed in accordance with your position on the main teaching pay scale. Ideally we are looking for a practitioner who is fully qualified with QTS, but of course we will be interested in hearing from practitioners who are qualified in the FE sector, with experience teaching students in the 11-16 age range.

The school itself is a wonderful school that really is in the heart of the community. The school believes in more than just progress for progress sake, and work extremely hard to promote wellbeing and further opportunities to the students in their community. The opportunity to participate beyond timetabled hours will be plentiful in this school (but not expected), so we welcome applications from teachers who share the believe to promote development in the students in their care. The schools timetabled hours are between 8:45AM and 3:30PM. There is ample space in the car park for practitioners who drive, and there is a regular bus route from the Hull City centre for practitioners who don't drive. As no planning and marking are involved for this position, you will not be expected to stay any later than your timetabled hours. You may be asked, on occasion, to support with an after school club or game, but you will be paid extra for these hours.
