Finance and Resources Director
Are you a strategic leader with a passion for managing finances and resources? Tradewind are working with an outstanding boy's secondary school in Islington. We are currently seeking a dedicated Finance and Resources Director to provide operational and strategic leadership for the school's core business services.
Salary: £75,000 - £85,000
Contract type: Full-time, permanent
Responsible to: Headteacher
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Develop and implement the school's financial strategy.
- Ensure effective financial controls, standards, and systems.
- Prepare and maintain budgets, financial plans, and forecasts.
- Secure additional funding to strengthen the school's financial position.
Premises Management:
- Lead responsibility for site and building maintenance.
- Oversee energy consumption and savings measures.
- Manage income from facility lettings and other revenue sources.
Health and Safety:
- Act as the School's Health and Safety Officer.
- Prepare and update emergency plans and risk analysis.
- Ensure First Aid requirements and appropriate training are in place.
Catering:
- Ensure high-quality catering provision offering value for money.
IT Support:
- Manage IT Managed Services contract for efficient support.
- Oversee IT projects and maintenance updates to enhance teaching and learning.
- Ensure e-safety policies are in place and followed.
Risk Management and Data Protection:
- Manage risk management procedures and oversee disaster recovery policies.
- Act as Data Protection Officer and ensure compliance with data protection and Freedom of Information policies.
Other Duties:
- Safeguarding and child protection adherence.
- Participate in whole-school training and initiatives.
- Attend relevant meetings.
Line Management:
- Finance Officer, Premises Managers, HR Manager, Contractors (IT managed services, catering, cleaning).
