Busy Secondary School in Hillingdon - April start date - Full time, Long Term Contract to the end of the academic year - Food and DT Technician Required - Open to experienced or Graduate Technicians - £11 - £13 per hour based on experience.

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a busy and progressive Secondary School in Hillingdon who are seeking a confident DT Technician to join their support team. This is a full time, long term role that will commence in Term 3, and run until the end of the academic year in the first instance and pays between £11 - £13 per hour based on experience. The Role - Food and DT Technician - Hillingdon, West London:

  • This role will see you responsible to the Curriculum Leader and assist in the maintenance of the curriculum area's workshops and the provision of materials in all areas; covering DT and Food Technology.
  • To follow the departmental maintenance schedule of tools and machines as directed. To carry out repairs where possible.
  • To assist in the maintenance of the curriculum area rooms including collecting equipment once it has been used and tidying it away.
  • To carry out tasks independently e.g. preparing materials, checking invoices as directed by the Curriculum Leader.
  • To support the curriculum area in the maintenance and organisation of stock rooms. To maintain equipment and areas in line with statutory or school Health and Safety standards.
  • To offer assistance in line with experience where required with students' projects.
  • To assist teachers as appropriate with the delivery of the subject.
