Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a pro-active and engaging Food Technician, to join an 'Outstanding' school in Tameside, to start in February 2019. This is a full-time, long-term role, paying between £65 - £75 a day. You will be expected to start at 07:45am, to set up the classrooms for the day.

We are recruiting on behalf of a large secondary school, which caters for students from 11 -16 years old. The school is an outstanding educational provider and is performing above the national average in terms of the fantastic results that they deliver. The school is a vibrant, diverse and innovative setting, promoting independence and achievement. They aim to produce confident individuals through learning in a safe and happy environment.

This OFSTED 'Outstanding' secondary school is looking for a Food Technician that can take initiative and support the Technology Department and students daily. You must be a committed and organised individual, who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout the role. You will need to be a collaborative and driven individual who will support the preparation and delivery of Food Technology.

The role itself will involve supporting the Technology Department in the preparation of practical lessons, as well as maintaining an organised and safe learning environment for the students. You will be responsible for handling equipment in the department, as well as monitoring the departmental stock. You will also be required to support students during practical lessons and ensure their safety always.

The school is based in Mossley, with excellent public transport links and ample parking available.

*Have experience working in a Food Technology Department
*Have the relevant and necessary safety certificates to work in a Technology classroom
*Apply for an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
*Have a CV with at least 10 years' employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
*Have the legal right to work in the UK
