Are you a talented and inspiring Food Technology Teacher looking for your next role in Essex?

Tradewind Recruitment have been asked by popular school in Chelmsford to assist them with the appoint of a Head of Food Technology. The role would be on a full-time basis starting from Easter. The requirement is ongoing with the school able to offer a permanent or fixed term contracts, or a temporary to permanent arrangements. This school will consider applications from those with leadership experience as well as ambitious individuals wanting to progress.

This is a full-time post which would include teaching Food Technology to KS3 and KS4 students. If you can teach Child Development, this could prove advantageous but not essential. The successful Food Technology teacher will be joining a large faculty comprising of around twelve subject areas. As Head of Department, you will be responsible for 3 teaching staff members as well as a dedicated Food Technician.

This welcoming secondary school is based in Central Essex and is easily commutable from surrounding areas. With a newly refurbished Technology department, the subjects are popular with a good number of pupils choosing to take them for GCSE. The department is well resourced to ensure pupil engagement and has high academic standards. There is also the additional support of technicians and assistants who can assist in the classroom and provide intervention/booster groups.

The successful applicant will be:
A Food Technology Teacher who has a genuine passion for their subject and can inspire their pupils and department.
A creative teacher and leader, who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout their role.
Someone who is up to date on the Food Technology National Curriculum and can confidently teach up to KS4.
Able to make effective assessments and evaluations to plan for the next step in the departments development.
A reliable professional and an excellent communicator who can build relationships with all pupils and staff.
