We are currently recruiting a dynamic and passionate Food Technology teacher to join a prestigious mixed secondary school in Birmingham, starting after Easter. This is a full-time position for a minimum of one term, with the potential for permanent employment from September.
As a Food Technology teacher at this Birmingham secondary school, you will have the exciting responsibility of planning, delivering, and evaluating engaging lessons in both practical and classroom settings. Your positive and confident approach to behaviour management, along with your ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to the evolving needs of students, will be key to your success.
It is essential that you have experience teaching Food Technology up to GCSE level, and any additional knowledge in related subjects such as Product Design and Textiles at Key Stage 3 would be advantageous.
To excel in this role, you must:
- possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS), or equivalent further education qualifications like PGCE14+ or Certificate of Education.
- The school also welcomes applications from unqualified candidates with experience teaching vocational catering courses to adults.
