Full-Time Teaching Assistant (1:1)

Location: South Liverpool

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Full-Time Teaching Assistant at a vibrant primary school located in South Liverpool.

Role Overview:

  • Position: Full-Time Teaching Assistant (1:1)
  • Location: South Liverpool
  • Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
  • Working closely with a single child to provide individualised support and assistance throughout the school day.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored support and assistance to the assigned student, focusing on their specific needs and learning objectives.
  • Collaborate with the classroom teacher to implement personalised learning plans and strategies designed to maximise the student's academic progress and overall development.
  • Assist the student with classwork, assignments, and educational activities, ensuring comprehension and engagement.
  • Foster a nurturing and supportive environment that promotes the student's confidence, independence, and well-being.
  • Monitor the student's progress and behaviour, providing feedback and reinforcement as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with the student, teachers, parents, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure consistency and continuity of support.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships and rapport with students.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods and approaches to meet the individual needs and learning styles of the student.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
