As mentioned, the multi academy trust in question has already grown itself a massive reputation within the borough for the results achieved at GCSE and A-level within this time. They currently house years 7 to 9 and 12 and 13 and so, with two more years until they have a full role of students it really is an exciting time to join.

Students are happy and make excellent progress. OFSTED graded the school "good" in all areas and commented "Students have outstanding attitudes to learning and take a pride in their work". The Humanities Department is supportive and successful and the subject is very popular at GCSE.

We are looking for candidates who:

Working with the Head of Humanities your responsibilities will include:

Teaching Geography across the 11-16 age range
Inspiring excellent attainment through promoting high standards of teaching and learning
Advising pupils and parents on progress, giving clear guidance for improvement
Assisting the Head of Department to prepare students for university applications in this subject area
The ideal candidate will be a well-qualified graduate with qualified teacher status, or the equivalent gained through experience, with the enthusiasm and ability to inspire, excite and motivate pupils in Geography.

The ideal candidate for this Key Stage 3 /4 Geography Teacher role will:

*be experienced and/or qualified to teach the subject successfully at Key Stage 3 and 4
*be empathetic to the students and contribute to the school's friendly, enthusiastic atmosphere.
*be familiar with the national curriculum and assessment methodology
*A sense of warmth and having a caring outlook.
*Any other skills or subject expertise may be helpful.
Location:
Based in the borough of Greenwich; close to Overground stations and local buses and transport.
