Tradewind Recruitment are working with an Ofsted rated Outstanding co-educational Secondary School in Camden who are seeking Graduate Teaching Assistants to join their supportive team in the new academic year. These posts will be offered on a full time, long term basis until the end of the 2020/21 academic year.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will be working within in the classroom to provide individual, specialist support to key students who have EHCPs, IEPs, learning, behavioural or special educational needs. This position will see you:

Providing individual in class support to motivate, encourage and engage students in their lesson to ensure they can access the curriculum

Working alongside the class teachers and inclusion team to differentiate lesson plans to meet the needs of students and creating bespoke learning activities for your key students

Running small group or individual lessons / interventions with your key students, which you will plan and deliver based around the areas of curriculum your key students need additional support with.


This full-time position is ideally suited to an aspiring Secondary Teacher who is eager to gain valuable classroom experience before joining a Teacher Training programme. The successful candidate for this Graduate Teaching Assistant position in Camden will:

Be a recent graduate (2:1 minimum). Graduates from English, Maths and Science disciplines are highly sought after.

Be an engaging, charismatic and confident individual who is able to build rapport and successful relationships with students and staff members alike.

Ideally the successful candidate will have experience working, volunteering or tutoring children.

Be passionate about providing a rounded, inclusive and individual education for the most vulnerable students

Hold a 2:1 minimum Bachelor's Degree in any subject; graduates from English, Maths and Science Disciplines are highly sought after.

This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks

Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained

You must have the legal right to work in the UK
