Position: Graduate Teaching Assistant
Location: Croydon, Mainstream Secondary School
Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term (Until the end of the academic year)
Salary Range: £80.00 - £100.00 per day (dependent on experience)
Responsibilities:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our students' academic and personal development. Your responsibilities will include:
Classroom Support: Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons, providing one-on-one support to students, and managing classroom activities.
Small Group Work: Work with small groups of students to reinforce learning concepts and address individual needs.
Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support: Collaborate with the SEN team to support students with diverse learning needs, ensuring an inclusive learning environment.
Behaviour Management: Help maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment by promoting good behaviour and addressing any behavioural issues.
Resource Preparation: Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and resources to enhance the learning experience.
Extra-Curricular Activities: Get involved in extracurricular activities and school events to encourage students' personal growth and development.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you should meet the following requirements:
Bachelor's Degree: Hold a degree in any discipline, as we welcome graduates from various backgrounds.
Previous Child-Based Experience: Possess prior experience working with children or young people, which could include tutoring, mentoring, volunteering, or other relevant roles.
DBS on the Update Service: A current Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service is essential for this role.
Passion for Education: Display a genuine passion for education and a commitment to helping students succeed.
Excellent Communication: Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Adaptability: Be adaptable, patient, and able to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced educational environment.
