This full time position as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting the most vulnerable students who have mild special needs, learning or behavioural needs, supporting them throughout the year to help them to achieve their personal bests.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support key students within KS3 and KS4 classes ensuring they are engaged with the lesson
Work with Teachers and the Inclusion team to differentiate lessons plans to meet the need of your key students
Run small group and individual lessons / interventions to focus on areas of the curriculum your key students are struggling with
Assist with homework and lunch time clubs, especially focussing on your subject strength
This position would be best suited for an aspiring Secondary Teacher who is eager to gain valuable classroom experience before continuing their training to become a qualified Teacher. The successful candidate will:
Be a recent graduate holding a degree in any subject (2:1 minimum); those graduating from English, Science or Maths disciplines are highly sought after.
Be passionate about education and seeing the most vulnerable students receive the individual and specialised support they need.
Have a confident, enthusiastic and caring nature, who can quickly build successful relationships with students and staff members alike.
Be a hard worker, who uses their own initiative, and works well in a large team setting

Be a recent graduate holding a Bachelor's Degree with a 2:1 minimum
This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
You must have the legal right to work in the UK
