Graduate Teaching Assistant

Are you a recent graduate who is considering a role in education and has experience working with children? Would you be keen to work in local Secondary Schools in St Albans, Watford or Bushey on a long-term contract for the rest of the academic year?

Tradewind is working with a variety of Secondary schools throughout St Albans (Hertfordshire) who are looking for talented graduates who want to help support students on a 1:1, intervention and booster class basis.

***Graduate Teaching Assistants - All subjects welcome with a minimum 2:2 grade

***Immediate start with Secondary Schools in Hertfordshire

***Long term role paid between £75 and £95 per day

***Opportunities to progress onto teacher training

The position of Teaching Assistant is a rewarding role which can progress into a career for the right person. We are seeking a variety of candidates who meet the criteria below and can commit on a ongoing basis. You will be an integral part of the School team and support pupils on a 1:1 basis, work with small groups and provide vital support on a cover basis within the school.


  • Degree Qualified
  • Experience working with children (does not need to be school based)
  • SEN knowledge and experience (highly desirable)
  • Desire to gain in-class experience from a range of excellent teachers
  • Strong, confident personality that will inspire students
  • Keen to get involved with all aspects of school life including extracurricular activities
  • Open to taking on teacher training in the future
