Tradewind are working with a fantastic Secondary School located in Sutton, as they look to appoint an outstanding Chemistry Teacher as Head of Chemistry from September 2020. This post welcomes experienced Science Teachers who seek an opportunity to progress. Headteachers are flexible with Remote Interviews to be arranged.

About the School -Head of Chemistry- Sutton, South London
This over-subscribed Secondary School located in Sutton, South West London, is part of has a reputation for providing a dynamic education within a happy and caring environment.
The School is looking for a motivated and committed Chemistry Teacher with the ability to inspire staff and students as Head of Chemistry.
Science is a popular subject withing the school as a large number of students choose to study up to Key Stage 5. Science is delivered by a team of experienced and passionate specialist Science teachers. The successful candidate will oversee the Chemistry curriculum, ensuring that challenging programmes of study are in place to meet the needs of all students. They will also teach Science up to Key Stage 4 and play a central role in the department.
The successful candidate will have excellent subject knowledge and detailed knowledge of current curriculum and pedagogical developments within Chemistry. The Head of Department will be determined to raise overall achievement throughout the subject.


About the Role -Head of Chemistry - Sutton, South London
*Must hold UK QTS
*Work closely with Other Science HOD and Chemistry Technician
*Identify pupils who are underachieving and ensure appropriate and reasonable strategies are put in place to support them in Chemistry
*Strong Curriculum knowledge and understanding
