Tradewind are currently recruiting for an experienced and successful Head of KS3 Science
This is an exciting opportunity to join our client School at a time when it has just joined a new Trust with ambitious plans for its future.
The school is situated in Sutton, 30 minutes from London Victoria by train and a short distance from Merton, Croydon and Kingston.

The successful candidate will be:
*Ambitious

You will be required to:
*Oversee all aspects of the work of the Science Department at Key Stage 3 with regard to teaching and learning in Science, extra curricular activities including intervention and the provision of independent learning opportunities.
*Lead and manage, (advising, monitoring and holding accountable) the Year 7/8 post holder and to fulfil the role of Year Lead at KS3 for the "other" year. To share best practice across the key stage to aim for outstanding student outcomes.
*Be responsible for the strategic direction and development of all aspects of KS3 Science
*Be responsible for the effective use of assessment, data analysis and intervention for all students following a KS3 Science course.
*Be responsible for leading and managing student behaviour in Key Stage 3 Science.
*Be responsible for leading and managing staff involved in the teaching of Key Stage 3 Science.
*Be responsible for the strategic direction and development of Science in Year 7/8
*Be responsible for the effective use of assessment, data analysis and intervention for all Year 7/8 students in Science.
*Be responsible for leading and managing student behaviour in Science in Year 7/8
