Located close to the vibrant and popular town of Basildon, this 'Good' Ofsted School continue to raise attainment and aspirations for local pupils, offering a great learning environment and a broad, engaging curriculum. The school is part of a highly successful Multi Academy Trust, where all schools in the group have achieve excellent results, high attendance levels and a reputation for well-behaved students. Last year the schools Head of Maths moved on and the post was handed to an AHT. Due to workload this was only ever planned to be a short-term solution and the school are keen on finding someone to join the school from January or April 2020 at the latest. The school offers excellent teaching for 11-16 year olds and this Head of Maths role would suit both those already in a similar post and experienced Maths Teachers looking to take the next step.

About the Role - Head of Maths - Basildon, Essex
*The School is looking for an exceptional Maths Teacher who can lead and inspire in this exceptionally important role. The school is open to seeing applications from those currently in a similar post or from those taking the step up.
*To be successful in this role the incoming Head of Maths will need to be able to teach at a 'Good' or better level on a consistent basis across KS3 to 5 and be keen to share their knowledge and ability with staff at various stages of their careers.
*This school offers ongoing professional development and career progression that could offer a path to senior leadership over the next few years.
*The role attracts a large TLR 1b (£9661) in view of the importance of the position.
