Located in the up and coming East London borough of Waltham Forest, this Ofsted Outstanding school has been on a path of rapid improvement over the past 10 years which last year saw it produce its best GCSE results with 74% of all students gaining at least 5 A-C grades including Maths and English. The school has recently appointed a new head teacher following retirement of the head who was credited with transforming the school which has opened up a whole raft of exciting opportunities to take the school through the next stage of its development. Key to this will be the appointment of a new head of department for the Maths faculty replacing the current HOD who moves on after 6 years at the school. The Maths department at this school performs above expectations on a yearly basis and has an excellent mixture of experienced and newly qualified teachers who are keen to achieve the best possible outcomes for each student. This school has a robust behaviour policy and as such behaviour issues and the need for sanctions are minimal.
