French and Spanish Teacher required to lead MFL department - 'Good' Ofsted School - MPS/UPS plus TLR 1b - September 2020 - Islington, North London - Open to expereinced teachers 'stepping up' into role

Are you an expereinced MFL Teacher with the ability to teach French and Spanish? Would you be keen to lead your own department in a well-run community school located in Islington, North London?

Tradewind has been asked to recruit an excellent Head of MFL for September who will help develop languages provision at the school to an outstanding level.

Located in the vibrant, popular borough of Islington, North London, this over-subscribed school has recently been awarded a 'Good' in all areas from Ofsted. The school has 1700 students on roll and teaches through to A-Level. It is a well-run school with a senior leadership team who have a clear plan to improve it further, looking to achieve the top grade at its next inspection. They are supported by a group of dedicated teachers who are committed to ensuring every child, regardless of background, succeeds! From September, the school will be looking to appoint a new Head of Modern Foreign Languages who will deliver lessons through to A-Level in either French or Spanish. This post will be vacant as a popular overseas teacher returns home after two years at the school. The MFL department achieves a high level of success on a yearly basis and last year 67% of all students achieved a A*-C grade at GCSE with similar levels at A-Level.

Role requirements - Head of Modern Foreign Languages - Islington, North London
*Expereinced MFL Teacher who can teach French or Spanish through to A-Level and at least KS3 for a second language.
*As Head of Department previous experience of helping a department improve, supporting the development of colleagues and leading on change will be required skills.
*This is a 'Good' School that is keen to develop and improve further. A committed leader who is ambitious to develop their career in line with the school over the coming years would be best fit.
