Due to retirement of the current HOD who has been in post for almost ten years this well run comprehensive with an 'Outstanding' Ofsted grade is looking to appoint a suitably qualified candidate to take over the running of the department. This is an academic school with high attainment and high ability pupils that has achieved success through creating a balanced and varied curriculum. The school invests heavily in the arts to encourage expression amongst its pupils and the music department is popular at both GCSE and A-Level. Results in the department are always strong, supported by a knowledge group of teachers who have a real passion for the teaching of Music.
