The Role
As Head of Music you will provide inspirational leadership and be a role model to students. With direct responsibility for the Music department you will be instrumental in Expressive & Performing Arts thriving at the school with genuine passion and imaginative flair.
You will be a qualified teacher with experience of both hands-on teaching and management in education. This means you will be fully up to date with curriculum developments. You will work closely with the Head of Expressive & Performing Arts on a process of continuous improvement, ensuring that the school continues to deliver ever better outcomes for students. Their success has been built on an ongoing search for improvement, and we encourage innovative approaches to teaching and learning.
This is an opportunity for the right individual to build and develop the Music Department in new and innovative ways. They have outstanding facilities and strong support from Senior Leadership, and strong partnerships with professional music organisations, as well as students who are passionate and committed to developing their love of music. The Head of Music will have the opportunity to further develop learning in Music, both within and beyond the classroom.
Tradewind are looking for someone who is positive, dynamic and has a genuine love for learning. You will be an experienced classroom teacher with an excellent track record in developing students' learning in Music. You will be a highly skilled musician with a passion for sharing your skill with students, and for music from a wide range of genres and traditions.
