Are you a dedicated and compassionate educator with a passion for supporting students through a crucial phase in their educational journey? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! [School Name], located in the beautiful Wirral area, is seeking a dynamic Head of Year 11 to join our team on a full-time basis for one term. This role primarily focuses on pastoral care, administration, and collaboration with students, external agencies, staff, and families.

Position: Head of Year 11 Location: Wirral Contract Type: Full-Time (One Term) Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

Pastoral Care: Be a source of guidance and support for Year 11 students, helping them navigate academic, emotional, and personal challenges.

Administrative Duties: Manage and organize administrative tasks related to Year 11, including timetables, records, and communication with parents and guardians.

Student Advocacy: Advocate for students' needs within the school community and collaborate with external agencies when necessary.

Family Engagement: Build positive relationships with families to ensure a strong support network for students' success.

Staff Collaboration: Work closely with teaching and support staff to create a nurturing and positive learning environment.

Student Development: Implement strategies to enhance students' personal growth, well-being, and academic achievement.

Qualifications and Experience:

Previous experience in a pastoral care role within an educational setting is advantageous.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, families, and external agencies effectively.

Excellent organizational skills for managing administrative responsibilities.

Empathy, patience, and a deep commitment to the well-being and development of young people.

Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and dynamic educational community.
