Headteacher
We are seeking a dedicated Headteacher to join our team at a Pupil Referral Unit based in Redbridge. This is a full-time, permanent position with the aim of providing exceptional leadership and guidance to our educational institution.
Role: As the Headteacher of our Pupil Referral Unit, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the school. You will play a crucial role in shaping the educational direction, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment, and ensuring the highest standards of academic achievement and student welfare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership to the school, driving educational excellence and a positive learning culture.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for all students and staff.
- Develop and implement effective educational policies, programs, and practices tailored to the needs of students within a PRU setting.
- Lead, motivate, and support a team of dedicated educators and staff, fostering a collaborative and cohesive work environment.
- Engage with parents, the local community, and external stakeholders to build positive relationships and support the school's objectives.
Requirements:
- Proven leadership experience within an educational setting, ideally within a Pupil Referral Unit or similar alternative provision.
- Strong understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within PRUs and a commitment to meeting the diverse needs of students.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant leadership qualifications are highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication, organisational, and managerial skills are essential.
