Tradewind Recruitment is working with a Good primary school based in Hounslow that are recruiting for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work across key stage 1.

The Head Teacher of this high achieving school in the heart of Hounslow are keen to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant who is now looking for a step-up role to a HLTA to work within KS2. You will need to have experience and the ability to deliver lesson plans whilst the Teacher is out of class. You will cover PPA for part of each week. You will also be part of a team of 2 other HLTA's within the school.

The role will involve both supporting the classroom teacher with general teaching assistant duties, supporting SEN pupils. You will be the designated HLTA in key stage 1, primarily working with year 1 and year 2 classes.

The role will be split 50% classroom support and 50% delivery of the lesson. You will also be conducting the morning and afternoon register. Whilst working as a HLTA you will also have support from a Teaching Assistant and any additional support staff in the class.

The role will involve

*Delivering planned lesson across key stage1
*Work alongside the KS1 Teacher to plan and prepare engaging lessons to deliver
*Marking and providing feedback

This HLTA role is a full time, 5 days' week and will be due to start September 2019

you must;

*Have previous experience working in a primary school setting.
*Be a team player - this role requires someone who works well with teachers, pupils and parents
*Either have the professional experience in covering lessons or have gained a Level 4 certificate as a HLTA.
*Demonstrate commitment, dedication and resilience in your previous childcare work
*have an ability to manage sometimes challenging behaviour
*Ideally you will be local to Hounslow or happy to travel to Hounslow
